Three times a charm for Jos Verlooy

08 / 08 / 2018
It is the time of three victories in a row. Jos Verlooy and his eight-year-old Cor-Leon vd Vlierbeek Z (Calvaro Z x Omar) were unbeatable in Ommen in the Netherlands. Their series of victories started with Thursday’s 1.35m speed class in which they blew away all competitors and finished almost four seconds faster. In Friday’s course with two phases, they extended their mastership. Kevin Jochems and Marij van 't Vliegenhof Z (My Tender Z x Omar) closed the top three in this class.

With already two victories in a row, Verlooy and Cor-Leon were the crowd favorite in Sunday’s one star Grand Prix. They were eager to live up to expectations and secured a third win. The British lady rider Deborah Jackson and winning Girl Z (Winningmood of the Arenberg x Creole) finished in fourth place.

Michael Greeve and Big Star Jr K Z (vm: Polydor) won the 1.50m Big Tour Longines Ranking class. Big Star Jr K Z is an approved Z stallion of Big Star out of the dam of Taloubet Z. A great achievement for breeder Cees Klaver, if you know that he also bred the Olympic Big Star and the World Cup final winner Taloubet Z.
