To be continued: successes in Knokke

09 / 07 / 2018
The first week of Knokke Hippique’s summer circuit already passed by. Once again the Zangersheide horses gained numerous classifications. We list a few for you.

Catherine Van Roosbroeck secured a podium place in the 1.50m main class of the CSI3* competition. She saddled the ten-year-old Qiazetta Z, a daughter of Quasimodo Z out of a Utrillo Z dam. With thirteen participants in the jump-off, Van Roosbroeck and Qiazetta Z finished clear in 43.13 seconds, which referred them to third place in the final score.

Probably we won’t have to tell you that Abdel Said can set up fast rounds. In the 1.50m course against the clock, he quickly rode SIEC Captain Future Z (Chellano Z x Tialoc la Silla) to second place.

Said also became runner up in the final class for seven-year-old horses. At Knokke Hippique’s main arena, no less than 27 out of the 68 combinations qualified for the jump-off. The Egyptian and Axel 111 Z (Action Breaker x Chatman) crossed the finish in 33.61 seconds, which was again good for second place. Nicola Philippaerts saddled Quincasco Van 'T Koningshof Z (Quinar Z x Cassini II). They stopped the clocks in 34.08 seconds and became third.

The eleven-year-old son of Clinton x Cappucino van Berkenbroek, Charming Fellow Z, ended second in the 1.40m speed class. Together with his British lady rider Chloe Winchester, he provided a surprising ending. Their time of 57.53, was exactly copied by Charlotte Mcauley, making it into a shared second place.
