Zangersheide placed indoor in Zilveren Spoor

10 / 10 / 2018
Last weekend, Zilveren Spoor in Moorsele held its first indoor CSI 3*, 1*, YH international jumping. Horses of the Zangersheide Studbook were placed several times.

Young horses series

The five- and six-year-old horses rode a class with two phases in Zilveren Spoor. Philippe Le Jeune and Very High de Muze Z (Vigo d'Arsouilles x Garmisch) took second place, followed by Rachel Steffen with Vernie du Coeur des Collines Z (Verdi TN x Clinton) in third place. The eighth place went to Hendrik Denutte with Elvis de Wijndale Z due to a bar in the second phase. Hendrik and Elvis also finished second in the opening class. Rachel Steffen and El Barone 111 Z (Emerald N.O.P. x Libero H) then became eighth after a clear round.

Lieven Devos and Mr. Quality Z (Mr. Blue x Casall ASK) jumped twice to fourth place in the 1.35m course against the clock for seven-year-olds. Thomas De Wit and Tools DW Z (Toulon x Cicero Z van Paemel) also stayed clear and finished in seventh place. On Sunday, Thomas and Tools won the closing class for seven-year-olds.

Qualification classes

Titouan Schumacher and Atome Z (Amadeus Z x Toulon) once again prove to be in good shape by finishing as vice-winners in the jump-off at 1.45m level. The next day there was exactly the same result for Koen Vereecke and Copiapo Z (Calvaro Z x Candillo Z). The duo was just not fast enough to keep the lead and ended as runner-up. With Diadarco van Evendael Z (Diamant de Semilly x Darco), the substantial lead was big enough to ensure the victory in the 1.40m class with two phases. At the same level, Paul Delforge and Carla du Banney, by Clintissimo Z x Jaguar Mail, achieved a fourth and tenth place.

Contessa van Sappenleen Z (Corland x Balougran Z) ended fifth under Bjorn Vandenbossche in the speed class leveled at 1.45m. Joyce Jonckheere and Giglo van het Laageind Z (Grison van den Bishop x Acapulco Z) were the winners at 1.20m level.

Closing GP

In the 1.50m three-star Grand Prix Maxime Harmegnies was qualified for the jump-off with his nine-year-old Seahorse Z. With four penalty points in the jump-off, this offspring of Hunter’s Scendix x Chellano Z finished in seventh place. For Lieven Devos and the seven-year-old Cronos DDT Z (Canabis Z x Concorde) there was a fourth place in the one-star GP.
