32. CASTILLON D'ARGILLA Z

stallion 28-05-2013 bay Zangersheide ARGILLA STABLES
Price: € 15000

Despite his exotic name, Castillon is a colt from Flanders whose last name is Latin for clay. It is the son of ‘powerhouse’ Casiro who defied the biggest jumps with the Sosath family. His personal best is a clear leap over 2.10m. But far more important in Castillon is his granddam, Sarah de St.Pierre. This daughter of Skippy II has been competing at CSO level for 11(!) years. She started with Koen Vereecke as a finalist in the World Championships at the age of 7, she won international GP’s, competed one year with Philippe Lejeune, to return to Vereeckelater on. Afterwards she left to Denmark where until this day she is active in CSI’s with Nadja Kristoffersen, Bo’s daughter. Dam’s sire Nagano won the 2004 Belgian Championships and was later sold to Qatar where he won both the Arab and Asian Games. Castillon ended 3rd at the Z-Festival in the youngest group.
