Chicago I Z, a stallion with a pedigree in which the best blood lines of Studfarm Zangersheide are combined.. Chicago I Z combines a dream-like pedigree with great show jumping talent. Ridden by Judy-Ann Melchior, Chicago I Z scored a number of remarkable results in Arezzo, Linz and Lummen. In addition, this successful combination won the Youngster tour for 6- and 7-yr-olds in Valkenswaard. Chicago I Z (Caretano Z) is, like the stallions Rabiat Z (Rebel II Z) and Hans Anders Z (Acord II), bred by Studfarm Zangersheide out of Calipa Z (Cor de la Bryère). Calipa Z is no-one less than a daughter of the “show jumping horse of the century” Ratina Z. Under Piet Raymakers and Ludger Beerbaum this wonder mare won the World Cup Finals, the European Championships, the Aachen Grand Prix, Olympic silver, twice Olympic team gold, twice European team gold and team gold at the WC. Besides her daughter Calipa Z, Ratina Z also produced the licensed stallions Rex Z (Rebel I Z), Treasure Z (Tlaloc la Silla) and Crown Z (Carthago Z). The dam’s line goes back to the Holsteiner mare Heureka Z (Ganeff), herself also winner of the Aachen Grand Prix under Hermann Schridde. Chicago I Z is presently prepared for the big work and is regularly winning 1.40 – 1.45m competitions.
