26 / 02 / 2018
From Vestfold in Norway, to Gent in Belgium, to Oliva in Spain, Zangersheide horses dominated the Grand Prix events.

In Vestfold, Babouche vh Koningshof Z won the two-star 1.45m GP with the Norwegian home lady rider Silje Ludvigsen. Babouche vh Koningshof Z is an eleven-year-old mare by Baloubet du Rouet x Cassini II. She is bred by Jan Jochems from Weelde, who sold her as a foal at the Zangersheide Quality Auction. On Friday, Babouche was already placed second in the 1.35m class with two phases.

Diadarco van Evendael Z (Diamant de Semilly x Darco) and Koen Vereecke were the crowd favourite at the CSI 2* GP of Ghent. After victories in Thursday’s and Friday's qualifying classes, they also won the Grand Prix. Even though it was nog an easy win, because 21 of the 60 combinations were advanced to the jump-off. A faultless jump-off in a fast pace secured their third victory in a row.

In Oliva the victory in the three-star 1.50m GP went to the Studfarm Zangersheide breeding product Chidame Z (Chippendale Z x Quidam de Revel) and her rider Pius Schwizer. Maelle Martin and Carreau or Greenhill Z, a mare by Clintissimo Z x Caretino took fifth place.

In addition, there were almost two more Z-victories in both the one star and the two-star GP of Kronenberg. In the 1.30m Grand Prix, Kevin Jochems and Marij van 't Vliegenhof Z (My Tender Z x Omar) finished slightly too slow and had to satisfy themselves with second place. Marij is an eight-year-old mare, bred by Tom Vliegen from Gruitrode. Casparo 26 (Calato Z x Marome NW) and Gert Jan Bruggink also ended second the jump-off of the 1.45m GP.
