Auction topper Westphalian stallion licensing for 220.000 to Studfarm Zangersheide

23 / 11 / 2017
The Westphalian stallion licensing was again successful for Studfarm Zangersheide. After a long and breathtaking bid duel during the stallion auction, the Belgian studfarm managed to add the premium crowd’s favorite by Quasimodo Z to its stallion collection.

“Studfarm Zangersheide is always looking for the very best young stallions to present to breeders in all of Europe. You don’t find such a horse as this Quasimodo Z-son every day. When the opportunity arises, you need to take it. We are very happy to add him to our list of breeding stallions!”, Judy Ann Melchior concludes. “It is a very complete horse that, according to us, has all the potential to be a future top-class sport horse. He has a powerful canter, a great takeoff and an unprecedented scope. In addition, Quasimodo Z increasingly proves himself as a showjumper delivering sire. The fact that our newest asset has a Polydor-mother, identical to Taloubet Z, completes it! We will proudly present this stallion during our stallion presentation on February 20 in Marl and during the Open days on March 3 and 4 in Lanaken.”

Besides a fantastic presentation in freedom, the premium stallion also has a strong damline. His mother Poly Magic is the full sister to Poly Power who jumped 1.60 m and a half sister of Vladimir Tuganov’s former Confident of Victory who is also active on 1.60 m-level.

After the arrival announcement of the proven sire Heartbeat Z earlier this week, this stallion is the second name that Studfarm Zangersheide adds to its 2018 collection. Traditionally, the complete collection will be announced between Christmas and New Year, beyond a doubt with an extra surprise for the European breeders of showjumpers.
