Carlos VHP Z third in WEF GP

19 / 01 / 2014
The first international Saturday night GP of the year in Wellington was ridden. This was a two star CSI with a prize pot for the GP of $50.000. Victory went to the Irish Ronan McGuigan on Capall Zidane (Concorde). In second place came Quality Girl (Quidam's Rubin) under the American Todd Minikus, the former horse of the Brems family, sold end of last year to a groups of American investors for rider Todd Minikus. Nick Dello Joio and Carlos VHP Z (Chellano Z) finished in third place with a double clear round and a time difference of less than half a second behind winner Mcguigan. We still remember Carlos VHP Z from the time he was ridden by Nicola Philippaerts, who won the EC Young Riders and the Falsterbo GP on him. The horse was born at the late Guy De Schuymer, who also bred half-brother Don VHP Z (Diamant de Semilly), active at the same time in the Wellington GP.
