Christian Ahlmann & Clintrexo Z win GP Münster

27 / 08 / 2018
In May, Christian Ahlmann and Clintrexo Z won the four-star GP of Wiesbaden. Yesterday, in Münster in Germany, they did the same: they won! 37 participants tried to clear this Grand Prix. 14 of them succeeded and were advanced to the jump-off, including a few key players such as Marcus Ehning, Philipp Weishaupt, Marc Houtzager, Paul Estermann and Janne-Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann.

Christian Ahlmann and his stallion of Clintissimo Z x Rex Z were the penultimate starters of the jump-off. Marcus Ehning and Funky Fred’s clear round in 38.80 seconds was then the time to beat. The verdict for Ahlmann and Clintrexo Z, bred by Stud farm Zangersheide, was clear in 38.30 seconds, good for a victory and €30,000 prize money.

The other Z stallions also achieved good results, including a fifth place for Christian Ahlmann and Take A Chance On Me Z (Taloubet Z x Aldatus) in the jump off at 1.50m level. Ahlmann and Dominator 2000 Z (Diamant de Semilly x Cassini I) also finished fifth in the series for seven and eight-year-olds. Angelique Rüsen, who rides for Christian Ahlmann, finished sixth in this class with the Zangersheide bred Corico Z (Coriano Z x Caretano Z).

The American Lucas Porter rode C Hunter (Cassini II x VDL Corland) to a third and fifth place at 1.50m level. C Hunter was originally called C-Hunter De Nyze Z, which refers to the breeding of Danny Nijs. Dam Absie jumped at the highest level with Andrew Ramsey, and half-brother Nazaro de Nyze Z also acted at 1.60m with the Chinese rider Zhirang Shi.
