Christian wins Rolex Grand Prix in Aachen

22 / 07 / 2014
In the last few months he had been regularly faced with bad luck in the sport, but on Sunday 20 June things were running like clockwork again. Christian Ahlmann was the only one on the Soers at Aachen to stay clear in two rounds and so he won the Rolex Grand Prix on his stallion Codex One (Contendro I) which paid 1,000.000 euro in total, before a 45,000 public. The Zangersheide rider had also done good work on Wednesday in the Prize of Europe with a sixth place and now his chances to join the Getrman team for the WEG in Normandy have grown. In the Aachen GP Kent Farrington, who had already won the Prize of Europe, finished in second place on Voyeur. Also Ehning (Plot Blue), Deusser (Cornet d’Amour) and the American Lauren Hough (Ohlala) had faults in the jump-off. Besides the the second places for Nouvelle Europe Z and Check Picobello Z, there was a third place for Amira Z (Air Jordan Z), bred by mister Serneels, ridden by Cameron Hanley in the joker class on the Saturday-night.
