Cicero son wins both GP and KGP

01 / 02 / 2016
The Grand Prix of the Winter Equestrian Nights in Lier was won by Gautcho da Quinta (Cicero van Paemel Z), the Cicero van Paemel Z product from Catherine Van Roosbroeck. Two days earlier the same combination had also won the small GP over 1.45m at this CSI2* international show in Lier. On the Friday-night our stallions Corico Z, Solid Gold Z and Dominator 2000 Z went clear, as in the week before, in sensational manner in the Pavo Stallion Competition. The 6-yr-old Dominator now finished in fifth place, the week before a fourth. The Belgian public was specifically thrilled by their incredible jumping talent.

On Saturday in Zürich there was a third place over 1.50m for Christian Ahlmann and Cornado II Z (Cornet Obolensky) in the CSI-W of Zürich. Ahlmann also made it to the jump-off of the World Cup there and so further increased his lead in the interim ranking. The World Cup stayed in their own country, as the Swiss Pius Schwizer won. Niels Bruynseels and Cas de Liberté Z (Cracky Z) also made it to the jump-off but then had one unlucky fault and finished seventh. Piergiorgio Bucci and Casallo Z finished in ninth place.

In Wellington this week the first CSI3* of the American Winter Equestrian Festival of this year was jumped. The final class over 1.50m went to Mclain Ward and HH Carlos VHP Z (Chellano Z), followed by Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum (Unbelievable) and Richard Spooner (Chivas Z, by Cumano).
