GP and GCL victories for Z-horses

In Dalian, China, Constant Van Paesschen managed win the Grand Prix CSI2*. He did this on a locally borrowed horse. The horse concerned, exported last year, was the Z-gelding Cognac du Vlist Z (Calvino Z), bred by A.J. van der Vlist from the Netherlands.

In Monaco, the Glolbal Champions Tour was almost won by Christian Ahlmann this weekend on his youngest GP mare Dolocia. Alberto Zorzi (Cornetto K) was the only better man in the jump-off. Just before, in the Global Champions League, a team competition, victory was claimed by Vienna Eagles. The team consisted of Gregory Wathelet (Eldorado vh Vijverhof) and Niels Bruynseels on Cas de Liberté vh Kelfshof Z (Cracky Z), who were the only ones that had not had a single fault on either and in either round. Further in Monaco, a second place was for Electric Touch (ex-Urena vd Vrombautshoeve, by Untouchable Z) under Max Kühner.

Rotterdam staged its well-known CHIO and this year’s Grand Prix there was won by Olympic reserve champion Peder Fredricson (H&M All In). Harrie Smolders finfihed fifth on his Don VHP Z (Diamant de Semilly), bred by the late Guy De Schuymer. Not only in the Nations Cup but also in the GP on Friday they jumped a double clear.
