Gold and silver for Z-horses at Danish championship for 5-yr-olds

20 / 10 / 2014
During the world cup in dressage and the CSI3* of Odense there was also a place for the Danish Championships for Young Horses. After the jump-off in the 5-yr-olds the gold and the silver went to the brothers Christian and Andreas Schou, co-organisers of the show. They were both riding Belgian-bred Z-horses. The victory went to Christian and Cantor de la Vie Z (Clinton x Heartbreaker), bred by Eric Goossens from Haras de la Vie in Koewacht. In 2009 Cantor was sold as a colt to the Danish Schou family. In 2013 he received his breeding licence. Cantor de la Vie Z is a full bother of another colt sold as a foal, Consul de la Vie Z, now an international GP horse and licensed for breeding by Z and SF.
The second place in the Danish championship in Odense was for Deauville van Overis Z (Darco x Ramiro Z), bred by Gerald Lenaerts, ridden by Andreas Schou. He had won a qualifier, earned the best score for style, but just fell short in the jump-off. Deauville was sold as a colt at the Zangersheide Quality Auction. After the qualifiers, Christian Schou also reached the top ten with Darcon II Z (Darco), bred by Versmissen from Eersel. In the 6-yr-olds Belize d’Ive Z (Berlin) won one qualifier. This mare was bred by Isabelle Van Eeckhout.
