Italian Lorenzo de Luca wins double for Zangersheide

05 / 02 / 2013
The new rider of Neil Jones is proving himself in Florida. He does so especially on Z-registered horses. Both with Jamaika Z (Jumpilot x Calvados), bred by Mr. Stiphout and Chanel Z (Cupido Flamingo Z x Niagara), bred by Egbert Schep, he managed to win a class in week four of the WEF in Wellington. On Jamaika he went almost four seconds faster than the runner-up in the Spy Coast 1.40m competition. Then he won a class for 8-yr-olds on Chanel Z and also finished second in the 1.35m jumping. Two weeks before Chanel Z had also been the best 8-yr-old in Wellington. In the competition for 8-yr-old horses there was also a fifth place for Armani Z (Air Jordan Z) under the Venezuelan Angel Karolyi. In the competition for 7-yr-olds Rodrigo Pessoa finished in fifth place on G&C Atlanta Z (Andiamo Z), bred by the Van Gorp family. In the 5-yr-olds there was a third and a fifth place for Armani SL Z (Asca Z), a stallion sold as a colt via the Zangersheide Quality Auction by his breeder Tom Lemmens to the USA. And Mclain Ward rode the stallion Cruz Z (Crown Z) from the American Z-breeder Wendy Ritter Peralta and Seabreeze Farm into ninth place in the 1.35m class.
