Knokke: Leontine Ledimar Z wins KGP

18 / 07 / 2016
Knokke Hippique had three absolute veterans on the podium today. The 1.50m final class in the secon week of the Summer Circuit was won by Patrice Delaveau on Leontine Ledimar Z HDC (Lodefever), who had also finished in fourth place in the 1.50m on Friday. One fault had deprived Delaveau from victory in the CSI2* Grand Prix earlier in the afternoon. Also in that jump-off he was the fastest rider. But this time he did go clear and so beat his countryman Julien Epaillard on Tradition de la Roque (Kannan). Ben Maher and Cliff Z (Casall) finished in third place, before Karina Aziz (Czardas) from Canada and Santiago Lambre (Fortin Z) from Mexico. The latter had finished in second place in the GP qualifier on Friday with that same Z-horse by Forsyth. In the GP 1.55m on Saturday-night Niels Bruynseels finished in third place on Cas de Liberté vh Kelfshof Z (Cracky Z). Abdel Saïd won, beating Sunday’s winner Patrice Delaveau. In the Youngster Final for 5-yr-olds Constança Van Doremalen-Almeida Fernandez won on Gigant Z (Glasgow vh Merelsnest), who had also come first the day before. Lieven Devos and Mr. Quality Z (Mr. Blue) came second. These were the only ones to go clear in the Youngster Final for 5-yr-olds.
