Judy-Ann Melchior & Nando de Miranda on Czarina Jmen

Nando de Mirando wins the second qualifier on Czarina Jmen

16 / 09 / 2016
Nando, the younger brother of Doda de Miranda won the second qualifier for 7 years old horses. With Czarina Jmen (by Clavigo Jmen) he was faster than two French riders Pierre Ducoste on Vilmar de Mescam and Pierre Coiteux Fontaine on Vista du Chalet. Less than one in four horses jumped clear in this class. The course was difficult and it was a table A against the clock. The man to beat seems to be Patrick Spits. The Belgian rider who finished first and third yesterday was clear again with his two horses.

Nando de Miranda moved a few years ago to Belgium, like a lot of Brazilian riders. He imports young horses form Brazil on a regular basis, and Czarina Jmen is one of them. “She was second at the Brazilian championships for 6 years old horses and is bred by Agroman Stud in Brazil, the biggest showjumpers breeder in my country. It’s great for us that a Brazilian bred horse can win here. We have a lot of breeders in Brazil and they are becoming more and more professional. The previous years they imported a lot of European horse. Czarina is a granddaughter of Caretino and Contender.”
