Sanne Thijssen and Celine M Z now also third in Lier

In their first international class after their victory in Lichtenvoorde two weeks ago, Sanne Thijssen and Celine M Z (Crusador TN x VDL Oramé) finished third in the 1.45m leveled class with two phases in Lier. This class consisted of 100 participants, in which only 11 combinations succeeded in reaching the second phase and only four of them became double clear. With four penalty points, Joseph Clayton ended in seventh place with Crak de Beaurepaire Z, an eight-year-old son of Crown Z x Rosire.

At the five and six-year-olds the victory went to Harrie Wiering from the Netherlands and Gweedore vd Groote Kamps Z (VDL Glasgow vh Merelsnest x VDL Corland). At the seven-year-olds, Clotilde de la Croix Z finished second under the guidance of her Brazilian rider Caio Carvalho Filho.

Other combinations that became second were Neal Vanderwegen with Isidoor J.H. Z (Indorado x VDL Corland) in the 1.35m class and Xavier Peeters with Let It Be 111 Z (Lord Z x Utrillo Z) in the 1.20m class.

In the 1.20m final Mike van Belle was victorious with his eight-year-old Casino Royal Waterschoot Z (Carpe Diem Vhw Z). They tapped the timers in 32.76 seconds and secured the win with more than a two seconds ahead. Other clear and placed combinations were Silke Janssens with Cairo van het Ganzenhof Z (Clinton I x Coriano Z) in eighth place, Mike Van Belle and Frauke van't Hagenhof Z (Golden Hawk x Bentley vd Heffinck) in ninth place and Axelle Druyts with Gini Z (Gitano V Berkenbroeck x Contender) in tenth place. The day before Frauke van't Hagenhof Z was fourth and Gini Z was seventh at 1.20m level.

At a height of 1.40m the Irishman Conor Swail rode Pin Up de Hus Z (Pilot the Hus x Casall ASK) to third place.
