Three times GP bronze

09 / 07 / 2018
This weekend Zangersheide positioned itself in multiple Grands Prix. Both in Austria, Germany and France, Z horses managed to place top three.

A Cicero Z van Paemel offspring took third place in the two-star GP in the Austrian Lake Arena in Wiener Neustadt. Out of 36 participants, six combinations were allowed to the jump-off. Amongst them, the ten-year-old Cicera de la Vayrie B (sd: April Night xx) and her German rider Tobias Bachl. Together they became the fastest in 50.71 seconds, but unfortunately there was also a dropdown. With only two clear rounds in the jump-off, they finished third.

In the German three-star Grand Prix of Dettighofen-Albführen at 1.50m level, the third place went to Dandiego B Z and Edwin Smits. They cleared the jump-off, but ended half a second too slow to win. Dandiego B Z (Dutch Capitol x Flemmingh; br: M.L.J.J. Brentjes) is working on a strong series, proven by the third places in the two-star GP of Eschweiler and the five-star GP of Abu Dhabi earlier this year.

We end in Paris with the Global Champions Tour Grand Prix. Out of 32 participants, 11 were advanced to the jump-off. Two of them are Z registered, more specific: Don VHP Z and Claire Z. Both proved their great shape, because also in the jump-off all bars stayed up. Harrie Smolders finished in 37.06 seconds with Don VHP Z (Diamant de Semilly x Voltaire, br: Guy De Schuymer) and became third. The time of Pieter Devos and Claire Z (Clearway x Coronado, br: PGMBH Hammes) amounted 38.72 seconds, which was good for sixth place.
