30 / 01 / 2018
Zürich CSI5*
Just before the World Cup, a 1.50m class was ridden in the four-star competition of Geneva. 35 combinations lined up, of which eight were qualified to return to the jump-off. Marit Haarr Skollerud rode a clear jump-off with Dublin van Overis Z (Darco x Kashmir van Schuttershof). Their time of 40.91 seconds was good for the third place. Nadal Z (Namelus R x Calvados) and Hans-Dieter Dreher finished in 35.38 seconds but a bar referred them to the sixth place.

At a height of 1.35m there were two victories for Electric Z and the Swiss Pius Swizer. Electric Z is a daughter of Erco van't Roosakker and Querlybet Hero, out of the breeding of Luc Leemans. Papillon Z (Perhaps vh Molenvondel x Cassini I) and Jérôme Guery were just outside the places of honor in the 1.45m class against the clock. Belcanto Z, a Berlin x Kannan descent bred by Niels Bruynseels, ended tenth under Henrik von Eckermann.
Kronenberg CSI2* - CSIYH
At the Peelbergen, the Z-horses filled a lot of podium places. Azimut Chavannais Z (Andiamo Z x Voltaire) and Rodrigo Mesquita Marinho won the qualification class of the Small Tour final at 1.35m level. The second place went to Waylotte DDH Z (Wolisco DDH x Dollar du Murier) and Maud Roosendaal. Grégory Wathelet ended seventh with the breeding product of Dirk Van Poucke, Full House ter Linden Z (H&M Forever d’Arco ter Linden x Cento).

Quitero V Z (Quintero ASK x Chellano Z) finished third in the Small Tour final with Pieter Keunen. Lander Z (Lord Z x Graf Sponeck) did the same in the Medium Tour final with the Dutch Teddy van de Rijt in the saddle.

Caldo HS Z (Cidane x Up To Date-M) and his Brazilian rider João Eduardo Ferreira de Carvalho were both second and fifth in the series for six- and seven-year-olds. Carmela Z (Candillo Z x Caretano Z) and Timothy Hendrix were good for a fifth place.

Chazey sur Ain CSI1*
In the French Chazey sur Ain, the third place of the one-star Grand Prix at a height of 1.40m was taken by Faust de Hus Z (For Hero de Hus x Lavall I) and home rider Jean Xhemal. Faust de Hus Z is an eight-year-old gelding out of the breeding of Haras de Hus from Petit-Mars. The approved stallion Askari (Accord II), Asgard 17 (Acorado I) and Carito (Carthago Z) are half-brothers of Faust de Hus Z who jumped at the highest level themselves.
