Z-horses help the Netherlands finish second in Hickstead Nations Cup

29 / 07 / 2017
Brazil, with four points, was the deserved winner, well in the lead for the Nations Cup of Hickstead. The winning team also included La Baule GP winner Pedro Muylaert on his Prince Royal Z (Rey Z), which had one fault in the first round and did not have to start in the second, because of three clear rounds from the colleagues. The South Americans started in the English Nations Cup with a Wild Card. The Netherlands, which belongs to the Division I and really had to work for its points, eventually finished second after both Harrie Smolders on Don VHP Z (Diamant de Semilly, breeder: G. De Schuymer) and Ruben Romp on Audi’s Teavanta Z (Treasure Z, breeder: P. Coppes) did not touch a single fence in either round. Switzerland came third, Germany fourth, after their last riders had a fault.
