Z in the spotlight in Opglabbeek

15 / 01 / 2018
In Sentower Park Jens Vandenberk collected four victories. With Calcentcor of Diamonds Z (Calcento of Diamonds Z x Corrado I) he managed to secure both a first and a third place at a height of 1.35m - 1.40m. Calcentcor of Diamonds Z was bred by L. Tijtgat from Zulte and is now owned by Margot Lapin.

Dominique Joassin finished second with the ten-year-old Si La Sol de Greenbay Z (Schilling x Randel Z) in the 1.40m class against the clock. This duo already has experience up to 1.60m level. Si La Sol de Greenbay Z is a half-sister of Qarmina de Greenbay Z (Qody de Saint-Aubert) and Vidretta M de Bellignies (Canadian River) who both jump internationally with Anne Sophie Hemeryck Godart and Rik Hemeryck.

In the two-star competition of Opglabbeek, the following combinations were also placed: Yves Awouters and Carisma Von Hary Z (Clinron II x Voltaire), the German Rebecca Pohl and Chat With Picobello Z (VDL Cardento x Libero H) and Dirk Demeersman and Clash II Heldenlaan Z (Clinton I x Lord Z).

The Z-results were also prominent in the competition for young show jumpers. In class for five and six year olds, the Finnish lady rider Anna-Julia Kontio won the jump-off with Zinedine Zidane Z (Zambesi x Halando II). The Swedish Sofia Westborg did the same in the two phases special with Concordia Z (Chiquitano Z x Zandor Z). This combination also was in the final at the World Championships for five year olds in Lanaken last September. For Rachel Geusens and her six-year-old own breeding product Actionmaker Z (Action Breaker Z x Carolus I) there was a third place. Among the seven year olds, the Brit Ben Talbot also jumped to third place with Urbanis R Z (Untouched x Air Jordan Z).

Gudrun Patteet and No Mercy Van't Kamerveld Z (Noton d'Eole and Toulon) and Samuel Hutton and Domino de Muze Z (Diamant de Semilly and Garmisch) also performed very regularly.
