14 / 11 / 2018
The seventh edition of the National Free Jump Contest at Sportstal Vanderhasselt in Ternat was the biggest ever. No more than 200 horses and ponies participated. The jury consisted of Herman Van Den Broeck, Henry Brugier, Tim Van Tricht, Johan Bijloos, Erik De Winter and Dieter Laheyne. Both Zangersheide stallions and Zangersheide registered horses eventually had the winning hand. At the two-year-olds, the denouement was completely blue and yellow colored.

At the female two-year-olds, Air Love Bull's Eye Z (Air Jordan Z x Echo van 't Spieveld) was victorious. This mare was bred by Mathias Ockerman. He sold her as a foal at the Zangersheide Quality Auction and is now owned by Andres Vervisch. This daughter of Air Jordan Z was the first participant, but immediately convinced the jury and retained her head start with six points. Air Love Bull's Eye Z finished with a total of 82/100, with 18/20 for scope!

Cicero Z delivered the winner at the male two-year-olds with Cuba Libre van Paemel Z (sd: Calvaro Z). This stallion from Stoeterij van Paemel was presented by Frederik and Erik Dekens from studfarm Dekens. Cuba Libre received 84 points, with 17/20 for canter, take off, scope and technique. He took the lead with four points ahead of Commander HK Z (Comme Il Faut x Emerald vh Ruytershof) who finished second and belongs to Tim van Hal and Olivia Kinneson of Halkin Stables.
