Z victories in Abu Dhabi

16 / 02 / 2018
It’s well-known that Zangersheide Studbook has a worldwide representation. Also in Abu Dhabi the victory of the five-star GP over two rounds went to a Z horse. This class also served as a qualifier for the WEG in Tryon and the European Championships in Rotterdam in 2019. Ted, who was formerly called Wanted by Wonderland Z, won with Saudi Ramzy Hamad Al Duhami. Out of the three combinations that repeated their faultless scores in both rounds, they finished two seconds faster, and won € 54,450 in prize money. The ten-year-old Ted (Warrant x Jalisco B) is born in Belgium at Horses BVBA Wonderland from Damme. The third place was again taken by a Z-horse, more specific by Dandiego B Z (Dutch Capitol x Flemmingh). This brown gelding has the Swiss Edwin Smits as a rider.

The second place in the 1.45m class against the clock went to Zira vh Kapelhof (Zürich x Quickfeuer van Koekshof) and Antony Condon. This Irish rider also ended fifth with Courtney Z (Chellano Z x Major de la Cour). There was a fifth place as well for Cognac des Hayettes Z (Quartz Adelheid Z x Pilot) and Abdulrahman Bader Alrajhi in the jump-off at 1.50m level.

Carodas Z and home rider Sultan Majid Al Awani had the fastest time in the two-star 1.40m course. Carodas Z is a fourteen-year-old mare by Caretano Z x Rabiat Z, bred by W. Dassen from Cadier en Keer in the Netherlands.
