Z wins the French Grand Prix’s!

16 / 07 / 2018
In Blaye everything revolved around Jumping de Blaye last weekend. Maxime Couderc didn’t miss his start by finishing 7th in the 1m35 class with Cisko du Mourau Z on the opening day. This Cicero Z van Paemel x Quidam-son finds its origin in the French Malemort-sur-Corrèze where he was bred by Les Ecuries de Novert SCEA. And that was not the only success for Les Ecuries de Novert SCEA! Also their breeding product Caliska du Mourau Z jumped to a place of honor with an 8th place in the CSI1* 1m30 class under the saddle of Virginie Parot Gauzignac. Just like Cisko, this Caliska is a daughter of Cicero Z van Paemel, this time combined with Quatar de Plape.

On the second day it was the turn of Dag Keymolen and Winnetou de la Hamente Z to jump into the spotlight. Together with Keymolen, the Winningmood-son, bred by Emmanuel Wera, jumped to a fourth place after a clear jump-off in the 1m40 class. The combination chose for a rest day on Saturday to be able to hit the jackpot in the Grand Prix on Sunday... And with success! They were one of the two combinations that was able to complete the jump-off without any mistakes. Thanks to their fast time of 44.32 sec, they remained ahead of the competition and took home the CSI2* Grand Prix victory.
The fifth place in this GP was also for a Z-horse. Christophe Leutenez and Cruz van Kerselare Z (Chellano Z) qualified for the jump-off, but had to tolerate 12 penalty points. This Cruz van Kerselare Z was also successful on Saturday. Then the gelding, bred by Wim Gilleman, gained a 10th place in the CSI2* 1m40 class. The third place in this class also turned blue-yellow. Aurore Christen and B Elvis Z (Baloubet du Rouet - B: Hans Reinders) found a good speed in this barema A direct on time and thus returned home with a nice sum of prize money.

The CSI1* Grand Prix turned out to be at least as successful for the Z-horses! In the saddle of the Zandor Z-daughter Zygote Z, the Frenchman Guillaume Bermejo managed to finalize his perfect jump-off a second faster than the rest of the competitors. In other words, another Grand Prix victory went to a Zangersheide horse, thanks to the mare bred by Armelle Griffiths! In this CSI1* GP, also the 9th place went to a Z-horse. This time it was Sodemieter Z (Sandro Beast - B: Wilmink) who secured a place of honor under the saddle of Lea Lafitte.
