Quartz II Adelheid Z & Tim Rieskamp Gödeking

Zangersheide goes world-wide

07 / 02 / 2014
This weekend Z is not only represented in Lanaken and Deauville. You find the last letter of the alphabet at the top of the results everywhere in the world. For example, the Ukranian team won the first Nations Cup qualifier this year in the Al Ain, in the Arabian Emirates. Beste horse in the winning team was Quickdiamond Z (Quick Lauro Z), bred by Henk Buitenhuis. Under Ferenc Szentirmai he had just one fault in two rounds. Earlier Cantho Z (Cumano) had won the opening class there.
Cantho Z (Cumano), the former GP horse from Rik Hemeryck, is sold. Abdullah Al Sharbatly is the new rider and owner. He started his new trump card for the first time in the beginning of January in Abu Dhabi, where he finished in second place. Then he won three times in Sharjah, including the GP, and again, during CSIO Al Ain, they won the opening class. Cantho Z apparently has not lost his winning streak. The gelding was bred by his former owner Benoit Swalens.
In Graz, Austria, Tim Rieskamp Gödeking finished third in the GP qualifier on his loyal steed Quartz II Adelheid Z (Quality Touch Z). Crossing the Atlantic, we saw that in Florida Carolla Z (Cumano), bred by Willy Brants, won the 1.40m class on the Wednesday under the Canadian Yann Candele. Rodrigo Pessoa on his new Baloubet product Banana d’Ive Z finished second in the 1.35m class on Thursday.
And finally, at the KWPN stallion selection three Z-bred stallions were referred to the third viewing, that takes place tomorrow in ’s Hertogenbosch. If Amaretto LCH Z (Air Jordan Z), Boogie Boy d’Ive Z (Baloubet du Rouet) and Freestyle VK Z (Falaise de Muze) get a “go” tomorrow after the last presentation in hand, they will be invited to participate in the conclusive stallion performance test in Ermelo.
