Zangersheide helps Ireland to Nations Cup victory in Calgary

14 / 06 / 2013
With a half Zangersheide team Ireland won the first Nations Cup of Calgary yesterday during the ‘Continental Tournament’ at Spruce Meadows. Ireland beat the USA and Canada. The two Z-horses produced three clear rounds. Cameron Hanley and Antello Z (Andiamo Z, bred by Zangersheide) left all the poles in their cups. Richie Moloney and Carrabis Z (Canabis Z, breeder Frank Mathijs from Monteaken, B) only had one fence down in the second round. Another double clear for the Irish came from Conor Swail on the Z-licensed stallion Landsdowne (ex-Wietvot, by Guidam). The team was completed by Darragh Kerins and E-Muze Yek (For Pleasure) who had zero and twelve faults. Seven nations teams had appeared at the start of this round in the North American division of the Furusiyya Nations Cup.
