Zangersheide makes its mark at CSI-W Lyon

05 / 11 / 2012
The Zangersheide horses have played a prominent role in the World Cup competition in Lyon. Not only in the World Cup class itself, but also in other classes everything ran like clockwork. On the Sunday morning before the WC qualifier there already was a 1.50m class which was won by Calimero des Hayettes Z, nowadays called Night Train (Calvaro Z), bred by Yves Lauwers. In the Equita Masters (1.60m), reserved for the best riders in the Rolex Ranking, Kevin Staut finished fifth after a double clear round on his new trump card Cheyenne 111 Z (Chatman), bred by Harrie Theeuwes. In a much busier class of 1.60m earlier on Saturday Ben Maher came second on Aristo Z (Andiamo Z). Aristo Z was born 8 years ago at Yves Clercx and has an exceptionally good season behind him. Also Michael Whitaker is riding a Zangersheide horse. Antello Z (Animo II Z) was formerly ridden by Joe Clayon. In Lyon under his new rider he finished seventh on Friday in the qualifier for the World Cup series. Antello Z was bred by Studfarm Zangersheide.
