Zangersheide several times up front in Geesteren

08 / 07 / 2013
At CSI Twente in Geesteren last weekend, several times a Z-horse reached the platform. In the 1.50m Febo Prijs on Friday former World Champion, the Irish rider Dermott Lennon won on Hallmark Elite (Lord Byron Z), ex-Lalique Z, a breeding product of Mr. J. Mansfield. That same Friday there was also a second place for Sjaak Sleiderink in the Medium Tour over 1.45m. He rode Athene Z (Andiamo Z), a breeding product of the Ter Harmsel family. In the young horse class Michel Hendrix won on Van Dutch W Z (Vigo d’Arsouilles), bred by Alan Waldman. In a genuine Z duel he beat Gerben Morsink on Cartaire Z (Carthago Z), who was born at his place. The next day it was Gert-Jan Bruggink on Umeunig Z (Untouchable) who wrote the young horse class to their name. Umeunig was born in De Lutte, the Netherlands, at Mr. Huttenhuis. And then there still was more. Leopold van Asten finished fifth on Saturday after a double clear round over 1.50m on his former World Champion VDL Groep Quinthago Z (Quinar Z) in a class for 5-yr-olds, bred by Henk Nijstad. The GP of Twente was won by Dermott Lennon on an Irish horse.
