Diamond Z, a rough diamond in Mons

03 / 07 / 2018
In the Walloon city of Mons in Belgium, the seven-year-old Diamond Z was victorious in the one-star Grand Prix. This Diamond Z is bred by KB Farms Limited from Boston. She is sired by Der Senaat 111. Her Dam Casita participated at the Olympic Games of Athens under Saudi Abdullah Bahamdan. Casita clearly passes on her sports genes, proven by the eight-year-olds Doha Z (1.45m with Rachel Steffen) and Zanta Z (1.40m with Carmen Christiaansen) and the seven-year-olds Upper Class Z (1.30m with Marco Carli) and Dawn Z (1.35m with Roberto Previtali). Diamond Z’s grandmother is also the grandmother of Cumano who won gold with Jos Lansink at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen in 2006.

In the jump-off with eight, Diamond Z and the Italian Roberto Previtali crossed the finish clear in 48.31 seconds. The time of Chouby Doo Z and Bertrand Genin amounted 49.60 seconds, which was good for second place. The eight-year-old Chouby Doo Z also has proven parents, with Cicero Z van Paemel out of dam Scooby Doo, who performed at 1.50m level under Filip Lacus.

Berline du Maillet Z and Laurent Thirion finished second in the closing class for six- and seven-year-olds. This mare is a daughter of Berlin x Action-breaker, born in the stables of Laurent Thirion and Delphine Mambour.
