09 / 04 / 2019

From Cagnes-Sur-Mer in France...

The second week of the international competition in Cagnes-Sur-Mer ended with a 1.50m three-star GP. 56 rider and horse combinations took their chance, of which ten were advanced to the jump-off. Robin Muhr and the ten-year-old Vino Z (Vigo d’Arsouilles x Darco) made sure the victory remained in France. They were the only ones who crossed the finish within 42 seconds. In addition to their very first GP win, they also gained € 12,550 in prize money. Joffrey Buard and Uncle AD W Z (Untouchable Z x Artos Z) had a dropdown in the jump-off and finished in sixth place.

To Kronenberg in the Netherlands...

The closing CSI2* grand prix of de Peelbergen Spring Tour’s second week, was also won by a Zangersheide horse. It was Maikel van der Vleuten with Beauville Z who once again beat the competition after their win in Den Bosch. Beauville Z is a nine-year-old son of Bustique x Jumpy des Fontaines, bred by Pascal Habets. 13 out of 58 entries made it to the jump-off, of which six again put down a second clear. When the Irish Jack O’Donohue (Kamara van’t Heike) entered the ring, it did get exciting for a while, but he finished 0.30 seconds after van der Vleuten’s chrono and became second.

To Bonheiden in Belgium...

In the CSI3* GP of Bonheiden, 9 combinations were qualified for the jump-off. Nobody was capable to improve the 37.73 seconds of Christophe Vanderhasselt and the Air Jordan Z mare Identity Vitseroel. The Frenchman Titouan Schumacher also kept the zero on the scoreboard with Atome Z (Amadeus Z x Toulon) from Haras des Brimbelles. Their time of 39.10 seconds was good for third place. Sanne Thijssen and Celine M Z (Crusador TN x VDL Oramé) registered eight penalty points in the jump-off and took ninth place.

And Gothenburg in Sweden

Christian Ahlmann and Atomic Z speeded to the win in the 1.45m class against the clock. This nine-year-old stallion by Cumano x Chin Chin bred by Studfarm Zangersheide also secured a second place in the opening class. Check out their victory:
