The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree

13 / 08 / 2018
The apple does not fall far from the tree. It is a general saying that children often have the same character as their parents. It’s a self-evident truth, which equally applies to the offspring of the Zangersheide stallions. Studbook Zangersheide's constant search for the best stallions pays off, which is continuously confirmed by the sports results of their offspring.

Aganix du Seigneur Z-descendants dominated the young horses series at Tops International Arena in Valkenwaard. Melanie Gelin achieved her sixth international victory with the six-year-old Attoucha Hero Z. Attoucha’s dam is Gatoucha van 't Roosakker (Diamant de Semilly) who acted at 1.50m level with Michael Korompis. The seven-year-old Ayade Hero Z (fm: HH Radco) finished two tenths later with Spencer Smith and was good for second place. Ayade comes out of the same damline as Ayade de Septon who jumped at the highest level under Kevin Staut. Melanie Gelin also finished fourth in the 1.35m class against the clock, with the six-year-old Alana Hero Z, which is the the full sister to Attoucha Hero Z.

The nine-year-old Taloubet Z-son, Take A Chance On Me Z (sd: Aldatus), is increasingly presenting himself and together with Christian Ahlmann, he became the runner-up in the 1.45m class with two phases during the Global Champions Tour of Valkenwaard.

Epsilon, a descendant of Canturano Z x Voltaire, and her Chilean lady rider Maria Ignacia del Pedregal Villalobos didn’t jump a pole out of the cups in Valkenswaard. This duo became both second and fourth at 1.25m level.

In Saint-Lô in France, the Swiss Alexandra Amar and Hallo C (Cabrio Z x Elton) finished in third place in the 1.35m leveled one star Grand Prix after two clear rounds.

Cicero Z was represented by a clear round of Caroline de Laet and Mazzeltov di Cabra (sd: Idaho) in the second qualifier for six-year-olds in Gesves. Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida and Lycero St. Hubert (sd: Lys de Darmen) won the jump-off for six- and seven-year-old horses in Budapest after an earlier gained fourth place. Doron Kuipers and Daegen Lalan (sd: Julio Mariner xx) were placed fifth in the 1.45m speed class in Dublin.

Shane Sweetnam and Main Road, a son of Heartbeat Z x Irco Marco jumped to second place with the Irish team in the Nations Cup of Dublin. In the five-star GP, Sweetnam and Main Road unfortunately ended up with one penalty point for exceeding the time allowed in the first round, which referred them to tenth place.
