Thibeau Spits and Bellissimo Z take fourth victory within four weeks

11 / 03 / 2019
Thibeau Spits and Bellissimo Z (Bamako de Muze x Chin Chin) are in the winningmood, that's for sure. In less than a single month they raced four times to the victory in a 1.45m Longines ranking class and already took their second win at the Sevilla Horse Tour in Spain. Their flawless second phase in 37.19 seconds was fast enough to leave the competition behind.

In the Spanish two-star Grand Prix yesterday, Thibeau managed to place two horses for the jump-off, which in itself is a great achievement if you know that in total only five out of the 42 combinations were advanced to the jump-off. Eventually, Thibeau finished in third and in fifth place. He could almost smell another victory with Bellissimo Z, but four penalty points threw a spanner in the works, making them fifth.

Thibeau's father, Patrik Spits, also won a 1.35m leveled jump-off with the eight-year-old Virocondo Z (Va-Vite x Lys de Darmen). Sometimes the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. For the Finnish Mirella Lesonen-Hakola and Winput VK Z (Warrant x Cavalier) there was a third place at 1.40m level. Braden James from Canada jumped to a first, a second and a third place at the seven-year-olds with Naomi PS Z (Nabab de Reve x Argentinus). Silke Janssens also took a first place at a height of 1.20m with Cairo van het Ganzenhof (Clinton I x Coriano Z).
