Last weekend were busy days on Dutch soil, because with Jumping Indoor Maastricht and a two-star show in Peelbergen Equestrian Center, Kronenberg, no fewer than 2 international shows were on the program.

In Kronenberg, the young Belgian rider Seppe Wouters was a striking name with his 7-year-old grey gelding Devino Vd Weretherbach Z, a son of De Flor 111 Z and Calvin Z who was bred by Heinz Lentz. Wouters and Devino Vd Weretherbach Z started their show well on Thursday with a top 5 ranking during the 1.35m high opening class. A double clear round earned them a 4th place in the rankings.

But the duo saved the best for the following days, because Wouters and Devino Vd Weretherbach Z became the winners of the 1.40m class on both Friday and Saturday. On Friday they beated the competition in another 2 phases class and on Saturday they were the best during a class against the clock.

Another combination that was placed twice was the German rider Cedric Wolf with the 12-year-old gelding Capitano Z, a son of Cornado I and Lordanos who was bred in the Netherlands by Charlotte Peeters. Wolf and Capitano Z were already good for a 7th place during the 1.35m class on Thursday and a day later they jumped to a nice 2nd place during the 1.45m high Longines Ranking class.

Who also achieved a 2nd place was the Dutch rider Piet Raijmakers Jr. with his 11-year-old mare Van Schijndel's Olaya Z (Ogano Sitte x Concorde – B: F. van Och). During the 1.45m high Longines Ranking Class on Thursday, they kept all the poles in the cups in both the basic round and the jump-off and this earned them a podium place, just like last month. With this performance, Raijmakers Jr. and Van Schijndel's Olaya Z did slightly better than the Brazilian rider Thiago Ribas da Costa and his 10-year-old chestnut mare Catharina W&W Z (Centurio 22 x Griseldi – B: Wilfried Rutten), with whom he has already compile an impressive list of achievement in recent weeks. Ribas da Costa and Catharina W&W Z also ensured two clear rounds and followed in 3rd place in the rankings.

Finally, during the 1.45m class on Friday, there was a 4th place for the Dutch lady rider Joy Lammers with the 8-year-old grey mare Amazing Z (Ambler Gambler – B: Van De Wetering & Stal Thijssen Ad) and during the 1.40m class on Sunday also a 4th place for the Belgian rider Jens Vandenberk with the 9-year-old stallion Diamant Van 't Coseveld Z (Diamant de Semilly x Corrado I – B: Dorien Boden & Dries Schreurs).
