During this 3rd day of 'The Zangersheide International', the afternoon program today was entirely devoted to the national classes for the young stallions and these were concluded this evening with the class for the 7-year-old stallions. It was a 1.35m class with jump-off and of the 25 combinations that made their appearance, 7 managed to get a spot in the jump-off.

In that jump-off it was the Belgian rider Robin van Thillo who became the winner with the SBS-bred stallion Leonardo van de Kapel, a son of Mithras de Regor and Nabab de Rêve who was bred by Joris van den Berg. Van Thillo and Leonardo van de Kapel also managed to ensure a flawless performance in the jump-off and with a convincing finishing time of 36.49 seconds, they were more than 2 full seconds ahead of the competition.

With this performance, Van Thillo and Leonardo van de Kapel referred Christian Ahlmann and our stallion Dacantos Boy Z to 2nd place in the ranking. As the first combination at the start, Ahlmann and the son of Dacantos and Balous Bellini from breeder Martin Dieckhoff-Holsen had immediately set the tone with a clear round in 38.71 seconds, but ultimately they had to make peace with the first place of honor.

Vanderwegen and Querido also managed a clear round, crossing the finish line in 41.76 seconds.
