Aganix du Seigneur Z delivers winner in the CSI3* Herning Grand Prix

Lots of international action last weekend on American soil, but there was also a lot going on in Europe over the past few days. In Herning (Denmark), for instance, the Danish Warmblood Stallion Show, with an important role for our stallion Aganix du Seigneur Z,was on the horizon .

While at most European shows the Grand Prix is a regular feature on Sunday afternoon, at the three-star Herning show the Grand Prix was already on the programme on Saturday. Forty combinations made their appearance in it, fifteen of which managed to advance to the decisive second round after the first round. The leading role in this was played by Dutch rider Hessel Hoekstra and the 9-year-old stallion VDL Mindset ES, a son of Aganix du Seigneur Z and Kannan bred by Egbert Schep in the Netherlands. Hoekstra and VDL Mindset ES finished in the decisive round in 40.34 seconds, adding this CSI3* Grand Prix to their record.

Furthermore, ^3rd place in this Grand Prix was also blue/yellow-tinged thanks to home rider Soren Moeller Rohde and the 12-year-old grey stallion Action Man Ask Z, a son of Action-Breaker and Calvados Z from the breeding farm of Ann Van Heyst. Rohde and Action Man Ask Z also held it clear again, but needed 41.11 seconds to complete their decisive round.

Besides the Grand Prix victory of Hessel Hoekstra and VDL Mindset ES, there was also a Z-horse in Herning that managed to win a class. In the 1.40m class on Thursday, the top prize went to Lithuanian rider Andrius Petrovas and the 12-year-old stallion Qarath Van Paebroek Z, a son of Quidam de Rêve and Chin Chin born to breeder Koen Sneyders. In a class against the finished in 54.10 seconds, Petrovas and Qarath Van Paebroek Z narrowly outclassed the other ninety-two competitors.

Also on the podium in Herning was Swedish rider Rolf-Göran Bengtsson and the 9-year-old stallion Cosinus Lvp Z (Corico Z x Gold Hawk) from the LVP Stables stud farm. During the 1.40m speed class on Sunday, Bengtsson and Cosinus Lvp Z jumped a flawless round, which finally earned them a nice ^3rd place.

Finally, German rider Nisse Lüneburg also had a good competition with the also 9-year-old mare Comme Picobello Z (Comme Il Faut x Indoctro - breeder: Picobello Horses). They made a first appearance on Friday with a^2nd place in the 1.35m class, while a day later they secured another ^8th place in another 1.35m class.
