At the Partner Pferd five-star show in Leipzig, a lot of attention was of course paid to the CSI5* competition over the past few days, but in addition to this, the program also included classes for young horses. Christian Ahlmann took this opportunity to bring our 7-year-old stallion Ansingh de Lis Z to the start again and the son of Aganix du Seigneur Z and Kannan once again confirmed his exceptional qualities with two exceptional performances.

Thus, the competition got off to an excellent start on Thursday for Ahlmann and Ansingh de Lis Z, as they managed to jump directly to a podium ranking in the opening class. In a class against the clock, they managed to stay clear and this performance earned them 2nd place in the standings.

But Ahlmann and Ansingh de Lis Z kept the best  for during the final class, which was on the program yesterday morning. Both during the 1st and 2nd phase, the successful duo managed to ensure a neat clear round and with a finishing time of 32.94 seconds they wrote after the stallion class at Jumping Mechelen also this final class for the 7-year-old horses on their record.

Besides the good performance of Ansingh de Lis Z there was also success for the blood of Jenson Van 't Meulenhof Z. In the class for the 8-year-old horses on Saturday the 3rd place went to the German rider Kendra Claricia Brinkop with the chestnut gelding Quercus van den Oude Eik, a breeding product of Gert Dierickx who combined the blood of Jenson Van 't Meulenhof Z with that of Darco. Again, the cours was being jumped directly on time and Brinkop and Quercus van den Oude Eik also provided a clear round.
