Ben Maher’s Faltic HB Z joins Studfarm Zangersheide for the 2026 breeding season
Official presentation to breeders tomorrow at 8:00 PM at Sentower Park!
Just in time for season start Studfarm Zangersheide proudly welcomes championship performer Faltic HB Z to the stallion collection for the 2026 breeding season. With success and consistency at the highest level under Olympic Champion Ben Maher, he joins the other stallions in Lanaken as a proven representative of modern top sport.
Bred in the Netherlands by H.A. Brinkman and M. Huisman, Faltic HB Z is sired by Baltic VDL, also the sire of Martin Fuchs’ superstar Leone Jei, among numerous other international performers. On the dam side, he represents the reliability of the renowned Dutch Loma stamm. His dam, Beloma B by Concorde, is herself a sister to several international performers, including the 1.60m Grand Prix mare Orient Express, Early H.B. (1.50m), Havinga’s Amigo (1.45m), and Donadoni BH (1.45m).
Produced as a five- and six-year-old youngster by Mackenzie Ray and later developed steadily up to 1.50m level with Roger McCrea, before joining Eoin Gallagher at the end of 2018. A defining new chapter began when Faltic HB Z entered the stable of Ben Maher at the end of 2021, with an immediate connection. After jumping their first show together in November 2021, the pair were already placed in the CSI5*-W World Cup in London Olympia just six weeks later, with a clear promise of what was to come. At the 2022 FEI Jumping World Championship in Herning, they secured Team Bronze and an exceptional fourth place individually against the strongest field in the world. One year later in Milan, Faltic BH Z once again confirmed his championship calibre with another fourth-place individual finish at the 2023 FEI Jumping European Championship. That same reliability has carried through his five-star career, and with podium finishes in CSI5* Grand Prix and Nations Cups, and a strong third place in the CSI5*-W World Cup in Washington to close his 2025 season, Faltic HB Z has repeatedly proven that he belongs among the elite.
Studfarm Zangersheide is delighted to welcome Faltic HB Z, whose arrival perfectly reflects the philosophy of offering stallions proven at the very highest level of the sport. Renowned for his intelligence, consistency, and outstanding mentality, which remains unwavering under pressure, he is modern and light in stature yet enormous in ability. He combines lightning-fast reflexes, exceptional carefulness, and a powerful yet efficient uphill canter that allows him to navigate even the most technical tracks with precision. In Faltic HB Z, breeders are offered a stallion who unites modern athleticism with proven championship reliability and answers the demands of today’s increasingly technical top-level sport.
