Dip It vd Berghoeve Z and Grand Ka De Lorette Z win on day two of the 2026 Z Festival

The programme began once again with the filly foals, and it was ultimately the filly Dip It vd Berghoeve Z that made the greatest impression on our jury. As her name suggests, Dip It Vd Berghoeve was bred by Paul van den Bosch and is a daughter of Do It vd Berghoeve Z out of the grey mare Noblesse Vd Berghoeve (Gitano Van Berckenbroeck). She was also bred at the van den Bosch family’s stud and is currently competing at 1.60m level under the saddle of the Belgian rider Daan Bernaerts.

Second place in this series went to Dakota RB Z, a daughter of Demonic Z and Chellano Z from the stud of Ruddy Bogaerts. Her dam, Contessa Z, has already proven her worth as a broodmare as the dam of the 1.60m horse Berlino Z (Berlin), but she is also a half-sister to the Grand Prix horses Caramouche Z (Caretano Z) and Claire Z (Clearway).

The bronze went to June XQ Z, bred by Paulien Schepers of Exclusive Stables. This daughter of J-Nius V.V. Z and Diamant de Semilly can trace her lineage back to an exceptional dam line. Her dam, Jenna van ’t Meulenhof, is in fact the full sister of none other than Emerald van ’t Ruytershof and Diamanthina van ’t Ruytershof.

From the afternoon onwards, it was once again the turn of the colt foals to demonstrate their qualities to the jury. The victory went to Grand Ka De Lorette Z, bred by Guy Willems. This son of Gran Diablo Viktory Z out of a Cornet Obolensky mare is by Camille Z, who is a half-sister to the gelding Noukie Z (Nabab de Rêve). He jumped at 1.50m level under the saddle of the Belgian rider Emilia Housen.

The silver medal this time went to Djackson Van Zuidgeest Z, a son of our stallion Darry Lou Z and Calato Z from Kevin Groffen’s stud. Granddam Remember Me (Carolus I) is a half-sister to Crown 5 (Cassini I) and Curcuma (Casall ASK), who competed at the very highest level with Georgina Bloomberg and Lorenzo de Luca respectively.

Finally, third place went to Centurion AEG Z, bringing us back to another breeding product from Stal Aegten. This son of Catoki Z out of the Clarimo ASK mare Foxy W can also draw on a strong sporting pedigree. Foxy W is the full sister of Elton John, Zoi Snels’ former Grand Prix horse, and also a half-sister to Alan 111 Z (Arko III), who enjoyed success at the highest level under the saddle of the Irish rider David Cameron.
