Dorie Proud Girl Z and Audi Z are the winning colts on the third day of Z Festival 2025

The third and final day of Z-Festival 2025 yesterday marked the conclusion of three exciting days in Lanaken. Also during this final day, public interest remained high and visitors enjoyed a programme full of promising foals and sporting highlights. The programme for the Belgian Zangersheide Foal Championship yesterday featured the oldest foals: those born between 1 January and 16 April 2025. The latter age category made their appearance in the arena to also show their qualities to the jury and provided a nice ending to a successful edition.
Filly foals
In the final series of fillies yesterday, twenty-four promising foals made their appearance before our expert jury. In it, victory went to the impressive filly Dorie Proud Girl Z, a breeding product of Mathias Stolz who combined the blood of our own Django Z with that of Untouched LB, one of Christian Ahlmann's Grand Prix partners. Dorie Proud Girl Z is from the same dam line as the gelding Comrado (Como 25), who was active at 1.50m level under US rider Savannah Jenkins.
The silver in this series was for the filly Extra-Paris Z, a classy daughter of Extra Z and Kannan, bred by Dirk van der Linden and Yanou Timmermans. This young mare comes from a family with proven sport genes. Her granddam Elegance du Tresor Z (Elvis Ter Putte) is the full sister of, among others, Mara Vd Bisschop and Explosion vh Legitahof Z, who has been a combination with Spanish rider Julio Arias Cueva for several months.
Third place was claimed by Coco Love van de Pladutse Z, a daughter of Chacfly PS and Levistano, from the breeding of Show Fountain. Granddam Samantha (Singular Joter I) is a half-sister of the horses Lucie 55 (Landadel) and Robby Lee (Ritual), who both jumped at the very highest level with German rider Lars Nieberg and Uruguayan Jose Maria Rega, respectively.
Colts
It was the oldest colts that were able to appropriately close the Z-Festival 2025 yesterday. In this final series, 30 colts were presented to the jury and it was the colt Audi Z that emerged as the eventual winner. Audi Z is a son of Aganix du Seigneur Z and Chacco Blue and was bred by Chris Brems and his partner Monique Becker. Audi Z is a granddaughter of the mare Quaranca de Muze (Nabab de Rêve), who we also know as the dam of the stallion Jaguar Vd Berghoeve (Emerald van 't Ruytershof). One generation further, we then see the famous mare Fragance de Chalus (Jalisco B), the dam of, among others, Mylord Carthago (Carthago Z) and Bamako de Muze (Darco).
Second place went to the elegant colt Eleryamo XQ Z, bred by Paulien Schepers' Exclusive Stables. Eleryamo XQ Z is a son of European Champion Ermitage Kalone, combined with the influential stallion Contender. Dam Wonne S is also the dam of the mare Calleryama (Casall ASK), who competed at 1.60m level with Belgian Champion Gilles Thomas.
Finally, bronze went to Heritage du Soleil Z, a modern and athletic colt by Highway M TN and Kannan, from the breeding farm of Alanbar Sulaiman. This young talent managed to convince the judges not only with his paper, but also with his beautiful appearance.
