Eddie G Z beams on the Grand Prix podium in Williamsburg

For the second week running, the international competition at the Traverse City Horse Show in Williamsburg, USA, yielded a fine Grand Prix placing for our blue and yellow colours. After Kent Farrington and Dolores PS, a daughter of Dominator 2000 Z, won the CSI3* Grand Prix last week, this time it was a Z-bred horse that jumped its way onto the Grand Prix podium.

On Saturday evening, it was Grand Prix time in Traverse City, with not one but two Grand Prix events on the programme. The first was part of the CSI2* competition, in which a total of thirty-two rider-horse pairs took to the arena. One of the seven pairs to complete the 1.45m-high basic course clear of faults were the Brazilian rider Marlon Modolo Zanotelli and the 10-year-old chestnut stallion Eddie G Z, a son of Echo van ’t Spieveld who was bred in the Netherlands by Stoeterij Gaesbeek VOF. Zanotelli and Eddie G Z, who had already secured 4th place in the 1.45mclass on Thursday, knocked a bar in the jump-off, but with a fast finishing time of 33.33 seconds, they ultimately secured a fine^second place.

During that 1.45m class on Thursday, Mexican rider Alejandro Leonardo Winkler was also among the prize-winners with the 9-year-old stallion D Monator Z, a son of Dominator 2000 Z and SIEC Vigaro, bred by De Radstake BV. After a strong round, they took^6th place.

Finally, American rider Sloane Coles also secured^6th place with the 10-year-old stallion Limoncello Z (Grandorado TN N.O.P. x Lincoln – breeder: Tony Zwienenberg). They achieved this top-10 placing on Saturday during the 1.45m class of the five-star competition.
