New Life - Allegro van de Strohoeve Z

De Strohoeve, an old square farm, was revived years ago by Willy Naessens, a passionate driver and ambassador of the Arabo-Friesian horse. Initially, the stud focused on these horses, but the breeding was gradually professionalised. During a visit to Jumping Mechelen, Willy's interest in show jumpers grew, leading to the purchase of a first quality mare. Since then, the fifth warmblood foal has been born and the breeding programme has expanded to include top mares. Steven Gobin has been stable manager at the Strohoeve for many years and is in charge of daily management.

Steven says: "Currently, we breed about ten foals every year. We are continuing the efforts of our founder after Willy's death in April 2025, dedicating ourselves to breeding both arabo-friesian foals and warmblood foals of good quality."

One of the foals born this year is Allegro van de Strohoeve Z (Asgreen 2000 Z x Con Air). "The dam of this foal is Ferrari, a dark bay sister of Conrad de Hus. She is 1.66m tall and a very caring mother for her foals Ferrari will not be used in show jumping with us, but only for breeding."

Ferrari was combined with Asgreen 2000 Z (by Aganix du Seigneur Z). "Because of his athletic ability and the qualities of his dam line, we chose this stallion.

Our Allegro van de Strohoeve Z is a very nicely proportioned and curious foal, fearlessly exploring his world. He has a beautiful light brown colour with a single small white spot on his forehead
