Nine Z-class horses are crowned Belgian Champions in the 4-year-old category

Last weekend, Gesves was once again entirely focused on young Belgian show jumpers. At the grounds of the École Provinciale d’Élevage et d’Équitation, the best 4-, 5- and 6-year-olds gathered to compete for the coveted national titles. The blue and yellow colours of Zangersheide were also well represented and enjoyed a number of successes during the various championships.

The first national titles were awarded in the 4-year-old category, where sixty-one combinations ultimately qualified for the final. This proved to be a particularly clear-round affair: no fewer than twenty combinations managed to complete both the basic round and the jump-off without any faults. As a result, they were jointly crowned Belgian Champions. Moreover, nine of those twenty pairs had the letter ‘Z’ after their names, ensuring that our colours got the championship off to a strong start.

· Jordy Oostvogels riding Ultramaro V.V. Z (Utamaro d’Ecaussines Z x Chacco Blue – breeder: Evelyne Van Vreckom)

· Antoni Draga on Copy That ES Z (Copycat Z x Mr. Blue – breeder: Evergate Stables & Play The Game Llc)

· Frederik Dekens with Caraibes Morinda Z (Cornado Fontanel Z x Parco – breeder: Herica Ravel)
