The international shows on French soil were particularly successful last weekend for our blue/yellow colors of Studbook Zangersheide. In Fontainebleau there was already the victory for Thibault Palm and the 8-year-old mare Diana du Plevau Z during the CSI2* GP, but we also saw a Zangersheide horse on the podium during the CSI3* GP of Haras de Gassin in St. Tropez. The 3rd place here was reserved for the Swedish rider Peder Fredricson with the 9-year-old chestnut stallion Vroom de la Pomme Z, a son of Vigo d'Arsouilles and Untouchable who was bred by Geert Baertsoen. Fredricson and Vroom de la Pomme Z were one of the 18 combinations that managed to qualify for the jump-off after a flawless basic round. In that jump-off they managed to repeat that flawless performance again and secured a podium place after a finishing time of 38.59 seconds.

The 5th place during this CSI3* GP went to the Dutch rider Loewie Joppen with his 12-year-old gelding Havel van de Wolfsakker Z, a son of Hos d'O and Libero H who was bred by B. van der Kloet. Joppen and Havel van de Wolsakker Z also kept it clear in the jump-off, but this in a time of 40.22 seconds.

Another striking combination in St. Tropez was the French rider Axel van Colen with the 8-year-old gelding Depp des Brimbelles Z, a son of Darco and President who was bred by Haras des Brimbelles. Van Colen and Depp des Brimbelles started their show with a 6th place during the 1.40m class on Thursday and became the winners of the 1.45m class on Friday. With a flawless 2nd phase in 42.70 seconds, they had a lead of more than a quarter of a second over the competition. Van Colen's compatriot Guillaume Foutrier jumped to a 6th place in this 1.45m class with the 9-year-old mare Toscane Z (Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z x HH Radco - B: Guido Bellemans).

On Sunday, Guillaume Foutrier was also placed with the 8-year-old gelding Top of the Bill 89 Z (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Andiamo Z – B: Nick Verlies). During the 1.45m high speed class they managed to ensure a flawless performance and this was good for a 5th place in the rankings.

Finally, on Saturday there was a podium place for the Swiss rider Niklaus Rutschi with the 10-year-old gelding Amar des Brimbelles Z, again a breeding product of Haras des Brimbelles. Amar des Bribelles Z combines the blood of Amadeus Z with that of Russel II and is also a half-brother of the Studbook Zangersheide-approved stallion Crooner Brimbelles Z (Cornet Obolensky). During the 1.50m main class, Rutschi and Amar des Brimbelles Z managed to remain clear in both the first and the second rounds and this performance earned them a 3rd place in the rankings. Peder Fredricson finished 6th in this class with the 9-year-old mare Expression From Second Life Z (Emerald van 't Ruytershof x Caretano Z - B: Second Life Stables BV).
