Z-France approves 14 new stallions!

After many new stallions were approved two weeks ago during the second edition of 'The Zangersheide International' at Sentower Park, Studbook Zangersheide organised its eleventh stallion approval in Deauville, France, last weekend. A total of 48 stallions made their appearance there and were presented to our expert stallion committee, consisting of Éric Levallois, Heinz Meyer and Stijn Van Campenhout.

All candidate stallions were first presented in hand on Saturday, after which the 3-year old stallions and part of the 4-year old stallions were allowed to show their qualities in free jumping. On Sunday, some of these 3- and 4-year-old stallions were then allowed to reappear for a second selection of free jumping, while the 'older' stallions were assessed when jumping a standard course. Of those 48 stallions presented, 14 finally managed to convince our jury and were therefore approved for the Zangersheide studbook!

Heartbreaker

In terms of pedigrees, the stallion Heartbreaker clearly made his mark during this eleventh Z-France stallion selection. Out of the 14 stallions approved, just like that, 3 have the legendary stallion as their sire. They are the stallions Hurricane DV Z (Heartbreaker x Rubens Du Ri D'Asse D'96 - B: Devos Stables), Heartwell Du Cordel Z (Heartbreaker x Nabab de Rêve - B: Didier Turpin) and High Level Devil Z (Heartbreaker x Carthago Z - B: Les Ecuries de Circé).
