Auction
Coldplay VDM Z

PAARDENFOTOGRAAF

Full stands, a stampede of wildly enthusiastic people and, above all, a particularly strong collection of stallions for which record prices were paid. The very first Zangersheide Stallion Auction had it all last night! A total of 17 three-year-old stallions that were approved for Studbook Zangersheide earlier in the day were offered for sale and auctioned under the approving eye of auctioneer Frederik De Backer.

The auction topper of the evening was the chestnut stallion Coldplay VDM Z, a son of Chackfly PS and Maui La Silla who was bred by Fons Peeters and who is a grandson of Nick Skelton's former GP horse Dollar Girl. Coldplay VDM Z impressed many potential buyers with its unlimited scope and fantastic technique and was eventually sold to an American customer for an amount of 205,000 euros!

The second money was paid for the black stallion Devil 2000 Z, a breeding product of Tony Foriers who combines the blood of Dominator 2000 Z with that of Chin Chin and who is also a half-brother of the Studbook Zangersheide approved stallion Akarad Hero Z (Aganix du Seigneur Z). Devil 2000 Z could therefore also count on a great deal of interest and will remain in Belgium for an amount of 190,000 euros.

The stallion U2 T&M also passed the 100,000 euro mark. This son of Emerald van 't Ruytershof and Taran de la Pomme from the dam line of Funky Music (Vigo d'Arsouilles) changes owner for an amount of 115,000 euros.

The Zangersheide.Auction team thanks all its loyal and new customers for their unconditional confidence.
