D'Aganix 2000 Z gets noticed in Rabat

While the Norwegian capital Oslo kicked off the new World Cup season last weekend, the Longines Global Champions Tour also saw competition at the very highest level once again. With the season quietly heading towards its conclusion, the penultimate stage of the LGCT was scheduled in the Moroccan capital Rabat, where the field of competitors once again provided top class competition. Christian Ahlmann was also present and managed to secure another top ranking with our stallion D'Aganix 2000 Z.

After the team competition of the Global Champions League on Friday and with the LGCT Grand Prix on Sunday in prospect, two five-star classes were also on the programme in Rabat on Saturday. The main event of the day was the 1.50m class with jump-off and in it there was a starring role for Christian Ahlmann and our 11-year-old stallion D'Aganix 2000 Z (Dominator 2000 Z x Aganix du Seigneur Z) from the breeding farm of Tony Foriers. Ahlmann and D'Aganix 2000 Z, who also showed strongly in Brussels and Riesenbeck last month, were among the nine combinations who stayed clear in the basic round, securing a ticket for the jump-off. There they managed to repeat that flawless performance from the first round and with a finishing time of 38.43 seconds they secured^2nd place.

But ^3rd place in this main class on Saturday was also taken by a Z-horse thanks to Swedish rider Peder Fredricson and the 11-year-old chestnut stallion SV Vroom de la Pomme Z (Vigo d'Arsouilles x Untouchable), a breeding product of Geert Baertsoen of Haras de la Pomme. Fredricson and SV Vroom de la Pomme Z, also good for an individual^2nd place in the first round of the Global Champions League on Friday, also held it clear again in the jump-off, but they needed 39.96 seconds to complete their run.

Earlier on Saturday, the riders of the five-star competition also found a 1.45m class and in it Frenchwoman Ines Joly made it into the top five with the 8-year-old stallion Come On Z (Comme Il Faut x VDL Zirocco Blue N.O.P. - Breeder: Eriksen Jørgen). The duo kept it neatly clear, taking ^5th place in the standings.

Finally, Belgian rider Celine Schoonbroodt-De Azevedo also managed to jump into the prizes with the 14-year-old grey gelding Clinto T Z (Clintissimo Z x Indoctro - Breeder: Rudi Tans). During the first round of Global Champions League on Friday, they ensured a flawless round, which earned them ^7th place in the individual standings.
