Eleven Z-horses become Belgian Champion among 4-year-old horses

Last week Gesves was once again the setting for the Belgian Young Jumper Championships. In the arena of the École Provinciale d'Élevage et d'Équitation, the best 4-, 5- and 6-year-olds came together to compete for the coveted national titles. As always, the blue/yellow colours of Zangersheide were strongly represented, and that produced some fine results again this year.

In the 4-yr-olds, an impressive sixty-four combinations qualified for the final after the qualification rounds. Nineteen combinations managed to stay clear in both the basic round and the jump-off, making them joint Belgian Champions. This was a fantastic result for our studbook, as no fewer than eleven of those nineteen clear champions bore the letter Z after their name.
