In daily life, Kim Bressers from Helmond does buying and selling (hunter) pony's to mainly America, together with her business partner Noa van der Aa. She is also active in show jumping and breeding. On 26 March, Kim and her father's foal Baronetti B Z (by Brunetti Z) was born.
A year and a half ago, she and her father Ton bought the mother of this foal . ‘I have my horse with Harrie Aarts and also ride horses for him. Harrie advised me to buy this mare because she was very interesting. Her name is Wildcard (by Carnute), she has competed at 1m40 level herself. Her dam Harmony has jumped 1m50. Several horses out of Wildcard have already jumped higher than 1m40. She is a very sweet mare with a great character and a very good pedigree."
Kim chose the stallion Brunetti Z because she already had positive experiences with the offspring. "I rode a mare for Harrie Aarts for three years: Badaboem Z. I rode her from the time she was 3.5 years old until she was six. This is another offspring of Brunetti Z out of a mare by Zandor Z. I can say with 100% conviction that this is the best horse I have ever ridden. Everything about this horse was perfect: a great character and appearance, but also a lot of quality. Unfortunately, she was sold recently." By choosing Brunetti Z, Kim hoped to breed a horse with a lot of front and appearance with fine rideability and a good character.
On 26 March, the little stallion Baronetti B Z was born. Kim says: "He is a big colt with a lot of front, a chic head and a good motor from behind. He is also very social and elastic." Kim does not have the ambition to breed a 1m60 horse, but mainly wants a horse that is nice to ride. "If it is a horse that can run a 1m30/1m40 round and that I sit on every day with a big smile, I am satisfied! A beautiful appearance and a nice character are also important to me and I definitely think Baronetti is going to be such a horse." In a few years, Kim therefore hopes to train him herself.
This year Kim is going to inseminate the mare again with Brunetti Z. "I have received many compliments on this foal, hopefully I can also breed a filly by him. I am already mega-proud of this foal, also I am very grateful that I was able to ride Badaboem for years. Without my father and Harrie, it would all not be possible!"
